American Red Cross Named a Charity Navigator 4-Star Charity for the Sixth Year in a Row

For the sixth consecutive year, the American Red Cross has received a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator , America’s largest independent evaluator of charities. Receiving four out of a possible four stars indicates that the Red Cross excels, as compared to other charities in America, in successfully managing the finances of the organization in an efficient and effective manner. We’ve also been named the Best Multipurpose Humanitarian Organization in their annual holiday gift guide.

Chapters can use the Charity Navigator Logo on their Website or direct mail pieces to demonstrate to the donor that the Red Cross is a good steward of donated dollars. National headquarters uses the logo on our e-newsletters, e-solicitations and our donate page. Accessing these logos is a privilege reserved for charities, like the Red Cross, that received the honor, so please do not share the link with anyone outside of the organization. Charity Navigator also asks that chapters make it clear that the ranking refers to the whole organization, not just the individual chapter.
